Dessert

(or, just ABCD)

Ingredients:

Filling

  • 1 package Chocolate Pudding
    • 2 Cups milk
  • 1/2 Pint fresh Rasberries
Prepare pudding according to instructions on the package. Set aside to cool. Stir occasionally to prevent skin from forming on top.
Sort the berries, discarding any bruised or spoiled ones.

Topping

  • 1 package Dream Whip
    • 1/2 Cup milk
    • 1/2 tsp. Vanilla extract
  • 3 oz. Cream Cheese (softened)
  • 1 Cup Confectioner's sugar
  • 1/2 Lb. fresh Cherries
Using your electric mixer, prepare Dream Whip according to instructions on the package. Reduce mixer speed, and add Cream Cheese, and confectioners sugar. Continue mixing until well blended.
Remove stems and pits from the cherries.

(2) Large Belgian Waffles

  • 1 Cup Bisquick
  • 1/2 Cup milk
  • 1 Tbsp. Sugar
  • 1 Egg
  • 1 Tbsp. Oil
  • 1/2 tsp. Vanilla extract
Using a whisk, combine all above ingredients in a large bowl. Then cook 2 Large Belgian Waffles in your waffle iron with the batter.
Spread 1/2 of the pudding on the top of one waffle, filling all of the holes. Carefully flip the waffle into a 9" pie plate (pudding side down). Place one fresh rasberry in each of the small square holes in the waffle. Cover the rasberries with the Dream Whip frosting.
Spread the rest of the pudding on top of the 2nd waffle, again filling all of the holes. Flip this waffle on top of the 1st one in the pie dish. Completely frost the tops and sides of the waffle stack in the pie dish (there may be some frosting left over).
Top the dessert with fresh cherries, again placing one cherry in each square of the waffle.

Variations:

If fresh rasberries are not available, substitute fresh blueberries, fresh strawberries (cut if necessary, into pieces small enough to fit in the waffle holes), or rasberry preserves.
If fresh cherries are not available, substitute canned Cherry Pie Filling.
Instead of using Dream Whip to create the topping, make a Butter Cream frosting.
